I am preparing for the week! Are you? I made some homemade pickles and CHOCOLATE! Oh, did I just yell CHOCOLATE? I have been craving …yes craving chocolate and tempted to buy a candy bar that has 15 or so ingredients in one 5 ounce bar. I decided to make my own. I love recipes with 5 or less ingredients, & I like to tweak recipes on the first try.
The pickles are delicious with only 5 ingredients and the Chocolate bars have only 4 basic ingredients. Some of the chocolate pieces are plain, and others either have almonds or small pieces of pretzels.
I have leftover chocolate sauce that was made with real chocolate (cacao). How about adding the chocolate sauce to banana ice cream????
Cacao is considered a superfood to many. Cacao has many of the nutrients your body needs. Cacao contains antioxidants, magnesium, iron, chromium, manganese, and zinc. Antioxidants prevent your cells from rusting and keep them functioning longer. Your body requires minerals and vitamins to maintain balance.
It is usually recommended to purchase chocolate with 70% cacao. I typically use 100% cacao. Next time you are out at the store, look at how many ingredients are in your store-bought food. Please remember that there is such a thing as hidden ingredients??!!!!!!!!😕
